Walking in the desert will give you a chance to really experience the peace and quiet of the desert! Walk at your own pace. See the magnificent desert while resting on the top of a sand dune. Breath the clean air and fall asleep under the amazing star-filled sky!
We will take care of everything else so you can focus on the experience alone. Our staff will set up and take down camp, cook breakfast, lunch and dinner, provide refreshments during the days and in the evenings we will have Bedouin party around the camp fire. If you wish we can provide a camel to accompany you in case someone gets tired and needs to rest . Walking in the Desert, 5 days
Day 1
After arriving in Bawiti in the Bahariya Oasis in time for lunch at the hotel,transport to Crystal Mountain to start the walk of the first day. The first days walk into the desert is ca 5 km and by sunset we set up camp and enjoy the first evening of barbecue and music around the camp fire.
Day 2
After breakfast we walk to El Agabat through the desert while our camp is packed into the cars and taken to our next camp. Lunch will be served on the way to El Agabat. When you arrive at El Agabat the second camp is awaiting you for another night under the stars.
Day 3
Todays lunch will be served at Magic Spring. After a well deserved rest the walk continues to the sand dunes (Craween Sand Dunes) were the third night camp will be.
Day 4
This mornings walk takes us to the valley Abu Hawas were lunch will be served. After lunch the walk continues to White Desert for a last night under the stars.
Day 5
After breakfast we walk to Ein Wadi and then continue to the trees at Ein Santa were our cars will wait to take us back to the Bahariya Oasis . Walking in the Desert, 7 days
Day 1
Start from Cairo in the morning to arrive at the Hotel to have lunch. Wewill then make a local trip in the oasis to visit Beer El Meftla, the lake, Palm Tree Gardens, Beer El ghaba, Dest & Magrafa (where the two biggest dinosaurs in the world were discovered in the beginning of the last century), Beer El Mattar hot spring, English house (where the English ruler was living during the colonization of Egypt), returning after sunset to the hotel to have dinner and sleep.
Day 2
Moving by jeep to the Black Desert, the Bedouin village El Haez, and sand dunes. Then on to Khamaan having lunch at Beer Deiaa, and on to CrystalMountain were we make a camp and sleep.
Day 3
Walking around Crystal Mountain, then moving towards El Agabat having lunch on the way. Then we continue to El Agabat to make camp and sleep.
Day 4
Walking around in El Agabat to see the “flower stones” (fossilized sea plants), moving towards the Small & Big Valley, Ain Khadra, and make a camp and sleep.
Day 5
Moving from Ain Khadra to Magic Spring (Ain El Sero) were we have lunch, then moving towards the Old White Desert to make a camp and sleep.
Day 6
Arriving to the Old White Desert to see the old Akasia tree, Wadi El Khiam, and more. Then moving towards the New White Desert to make a camp and sleep.
Day 7
Walking around in the New White Desert, seeing the Mushroom formations created by the sand and wind before being picked up by our cars and returning to the hotel in the afternoon for transport back to Cairo or a nights rest at the Hotel. |
